Chi-lo-ma

I was playing a game with a few friends, were you get a weird word and everyone has to come up with a meaning for that word. One of the words was chiloma, which is actually a camels upper lip (why they have a word for that I don't know!). A friend wrote that it was a small rodent that lives in shoes??!! Who seriously comes up with that??
